| Authentication and email providers | Sign-in, account lifecycle, transactional email. | Required for hosted Lair accounts. |
| Hosting and storage providers | Run the gateway, docs, dashboard, and retained module state. | Use local mode to avoid hosted storage. |
| LLM providers | Only the provider selected by your configuration receives the upstream request. | BYOK users choose their providers; local users control provider egress. |
